Friday Fancies: DIY Edition!

Lazy weekends. Road trips. Surprise visits from your lovely in-laws. All of these are perfect reasons to start projects that will make you look cool when the weather is hot. Do-It-Yourself fashionistas all over the web are transforming the way we shop and dress. After hours of scouring countless DIY blogs, we've brought you a few of our favorite ideas.

Friendship Bracelets

Remember these? They're back! HonestlyWTF has easy-to-follow steps, complete with pictures of each step. These little bracelets are a super cute summer look, especially when you wear multiple at once or pair them with an edgy, leather wrap bracelet. (We loveJustHipStuff's selection!)So pile 'em on and go get a Slurpee or something.

Sun Hat

You already know from last week's post that Sassy City Chicks loves sun safety. So we're giving you another way to protect your fab face, complements of P.S. - I Made This. We love that this is another quick and affordable way to perk up your summer wardrobe simply by using something you probably already have! Add a pair of mini wedges, the newest summer must-have, and you're ready to hit the boardwalk.

Tank Tote

We are obsessing over this quick-fix to a wardrobe slump! Here's why - unlike most DIY projects, where you're making semi-permanent fab alterations, you flip this bag right back into a tank top. The original post from ...love Maegan shows a few different styles of camis and how to fasten the bottoms to fashion a new tote.

Glittered Oxfords

Oxfords have a been one of our favorite funky additions to street style for while now. But if you're like us and accidentally acquired one too many pairs (what some call an addiction, we call dedication)...this is the perfect project for your collection! I Spy DIY wins points with us for upping the sass on this already hot trend.

The best thing about DIY is that there's something for everybody. These small projects are quick and relatively easy, but there are countless DIY bloggers with projects for those of you seeking something more advanced. For example, we absolutely love the style and projects from Studs and Pearls - the studded trench coat is to-die-for!
